If you don’t believe in coincidences, listen to this:

The anti-racism campaign “We Are All Monkeys” was an award winner yesterday at Cannes Lions; this is the world's biggest annual awards show and festival for professionals in the creative communications industry.

The “We Are All Monkeys” campaign began after a racist incident on the football pitch in April; this led to the Brazilian footballer Neymar posting a photo of himself and his son on Twitter holding a banana with the hashtag "we are all monkeys".

On the same day Cannes Lions recognised the “We Are All Monkeys” campaign, the Buenos Aires Herald reported that two Argentine fans were arrested for making monkey gestures and calling Brazilian supporters “little monkeys.” http://www.buenosairesherald.com/article/162253/argentina-fans-arrested-for-alleged-racist-chanting

Helping to combat racism is a definite act of charity because racism causes suffering. The events of yesterday show that the Cannes Lions jury were right to take a stand against racism.
